Trip budget calculator

Add up tickets, booking fees, travel, a hotel, food and anything else for a night at Come Fry With Me. Enter your own figures and get the total and cost per person, with a link you can share.

Your budget

Enter your figures to see the total. Example inputs, not real prices: two tickets at £40 plus £5 fee each, £60 travel and £120 hotel come to £270.

How to use the calculator

  1. Open the seller's page for your show and note the total price per ticket, including fees, at checkout.
  2. Enter the ticket price, the booking fee if shown separately, and the number of tickets.
  3. Add your travel total, hotel nights and nightly price, food and drink, and anything else.
  4. Set how many people are sharing the cost to see a per-person figure.
  5. Copy the link to send the plan to the people you are going with.

How it works

The total is straightforward: (ticket price + booking fee) × tickets + travel + (nights × hotel rate) + food + other. The per-person figure divides the total by the number of people you set. The calculator never assumes a price. Ticket prices vary by venue, date and seat, and the seller shows the full amount at checkout, so you provide them.

Your figures are kept in the part of the web address after the # sign. That makes the link shareable and means nothing is sent to a server. If you do not copy the link or the summary, the numbers disappear when you close the tab.

What each cost means

  • Tickets: the face value. Fees are usually added at checkout, so the total you pay can be higher than the headline price.
  • Travel: train, coach or fuel. Advance rail tickets are usually released some weeks ahead, so check National Rail for when your date opens.
  • Hotel: nights multiplied by the nightly rate. A refundable rate costs a little more but protects you if plans change.
  • Food and drink: before or after the show, plus the venue bar.
  • Other: parking, a cloakroom or luggage storage, merchandise, and late-night transport home.

Worked examples

These use made-up round numbers to show how the sum works. They are not real prices.

A solo day trip by train

One ticket at £40 with a £4 fee, a £35 return train fare, £15 for food and nothing else gives £94 in total, or £94 per person.

A couple's weekend away

Two tickets at £45 with a £5 fee each (£100), £90 on trains, one night at £110, £60 on food and £10 for the cloakroom total £370, which is £185 each.

A family of four by car

Four tickets at £35 with a £4 fee each (£156), £45 fuel, £18 parking and £80 on food come to £299, about £75 each.

Ways to keep the cost down

  • Compare a weeknight with a Friday or Saturday show: travel and hotel prices are often lower mid-week.
  • Book advance rail fares as soon as they are released and check whether a Railcard saves you money.
  • Share a room or a car with the people you are going with.
  • Look for a closer venue with the closest show finder.
  • Buy from official sellers, and if you need a resale ticket use face-value routes only.

Who this is for

  • Groups splitting the cost of a night away.
  • Gift buyers working out the full cost of a present, not just the ticket.
  • Fans planning a multi-night trip for a two-night venue.

Questions about this tool

What does the trip budget calculator include?

Tickets and booking fees, travel, accommodation, food and drink, and any other costs you add, then a total and a cost per person. You enter every figure yourself.

Why are there no ticket prices pre-filled?

Prices differ by venue, date and seat and change over time, so any default would mislead. Copy the total price you see at checkout, fees included, into the ticket and fee boxes.

Can I share my budget?

Yes. Your figures are stored in the page address after the # sign, so you can copy the link or use the copy button. Nothing is uploaded to a server.

Does it save my numbers?

Only in the link in your browser's address bar. If you close the tab without copying the link, the numbers are gone. Nothing is stored on a server.

How do I include a hotel?

Enter the number of nights and the price per night. For shared rooms, enter the room price and set the number of people so the per-person cost is right.

What costs do people usually forget?

Parking, a cloakroom charge, luggage storage, drinks at the venue, late-night transport home and merchandise. Put them in the Other box.
