What the venue says about its seats
- You choose your own seat on an interactive plan when you book online. Seats marked with an 'i' show details of the position or view.
- B:Music says restricted view seats at its venues are often near the stage, can be partly blocked by equipment or set, may be near speakers, and cost the same as standard seats.
- There are level-access seats on every level, and two lifts serve all levels.
- Wheelchair positions are in the Stalls Left and Right Boxes, Stalls rows Y and Z, and the Upper Circle Left and Right Boxes.
Access seating
Wheelchair spaces: Stalls Left Box, Stalls Right Box, Stalls Rows Y and Z, Upper Circle Left Box, Upper Circle Right Box. Companion tickets: Free companion ticket for those registered with the B:Music Access Scheme. Book access seats through the venue rather than a general seller page. Details are in the accessibility guide for Symphony Hall.
Choosing a seat
- Look for "restricted view" or "partial view" labels on the plan. Sellers price these lower because a pillar, rail or overhang blocks part of the stage.
- For a show built around one person on stage, a clear view and good sound matter more than being close. A central seat further back can beat a side seat near the front.
- Upper levels in older theatres can be steep. If you dislike heights or stairs, choose a lower level or ask the venue about lifts.
- If you are booking for two nights or a group, check the per-order limit before you choose. See how to buy tickets.
